Why this exists

Nobody set out to make checking your own balance annoying. It is just what USSD is, and nobody has put anything better in front of it.

What checking a balance costs you now

  1. Dial and wait

Open the dialler, type *100#, call it, and wait for the network to answer.

  2. Pick your way down

Balance Check, then credit or data. Each choice is another wait for another popup.

  3. Lose it

The session closes after about thirty seconds, silently. Tap away and the answer is gone — start again.

There's no app that checks your balance

Your network's own app was pulled from Google Play in November 2024 and its listing still returns a 404. The one app left on Play carrying the network's name belongs to a reseller rather than the network, and all it does is sell you airtime. It cannot show you what you already have.

The network's own website advertises no app at all. It sends you to a web portal instead.

So on an Android phone there is currently nothing official to check your balance with. There is the dialler, and there is this.

Checked on Google Play and the network's own site, 18 September 2026.
